SPIDER Folksonomy

This page defines a tagging convention for tagging papers on infectious disease in del.icio.us and/or connotea.

N.B. Connotea supports tags with spaces in them, del.icio.us doesn't, hence all tags in this folksonomy are without spaces. Tags formed from multiple words are joined directly, without any punctuation.

For consistency, no capitalisation or punctuation is used in any tag name (except for geo-tagging, see below).

Article Types

Investigation Types

• fieldwork -- some work done in the field.
• labwork -- some work done in the lab.
• theorywork -- some theoretical work, includes modelling, simulation.
• metaanalysis -- reviews of other work, meta-analysis and discussion.
• clinicalwork -- some work done on analysing clinical factors (patients, hospitals)

Topic Tags

Tags for Diseases / Disease Agents

• leptospira -- a spirochete, cause of Weil's disease; use for leptospirosis.
• dengue -- Dengue fever.
• borrelia -- a pathogenic spirochete, cause of Lyme disease.

Geo-Tagging

• fieldlocation(lat=[lat];long=[long]) -- used on papers tagged with fieldwork, represents a location where field work was carried out, e.g. fieldlocation(lat=-13.0;long=-38.5)
