Email exchange on 09/10/2007 with Liz for feedback of Fly-TED
For the view page that shows images by their gene names
"Ideally we want to be able to see all the images (and corresponding expression information) available for 1 gene on one page. It would be better not to have to find the 'i' and have to retrieve the information by hyperlink but to have the expression information next to the thumbnail on the same page. For example a bit like on this website- http://fly-fish.ccbr.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/gene_quickview.pl?gene_id=CG8994"
For the abbrevation of strain names
"To help people find wild type images easily we could type out 'wild type' instead of 'wt'. Then it should stand out more on the strain page. It would be better at the top of the list but if this is very difficult it is not essential if 'wt' is renamed 'wild type'."
For the abstract page - which shows detailed information about each image
"We were thinking that the 2nd column could be hidden as it does not contain information required for people using the database."
View of somatic cell information
"Removing 'browsing by somatic' is fine." But I should move the somatic information under the expression tree.
