Story 1 (Finished)
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in-situ RNA hybridisation in the testes for any given gene,
so that I can learn about which stages of spermatogenesis is associated with my given gene.
Story 2 (Finished)
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in-site RNA hybridisation in the embryo for any given gene,
so that I can learn about how my given gene is expressed at different stages of embryogenesis.
Story 3 (Ongoing)
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to view images of in-situ RNA hybridisation in both testes and embryos side by side, for any given gene,
so that I can compare easily the expression patterns for my given gene in two different organs.

I want to see the name of the strains for each image from FlyTED, and I want to see those images grouped by strain
so that I can make sense of the data.

I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes showing expression for any given gene, alongside information about the chromosome location (i.e. gene map) for that gene,
so that I can investigate expression patterns for different genes in the testes and easily access information about the structure and location of these genes at the same time.

As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes for any given gene, then be able to view images for any neighboring gene(s) at the same chromosome,
so that I can easily investigate expression patterns for groups of neighboring genes at the same chromosome.
Story 6
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to view the gene map for any given gene, overlaid with information about expression levels found in various tissues for each gene shown in the gene map,
so that I can the neighbourhood of any given gene and make decisions about which genes to explore based on information about expression levels (e.g testes only).

As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes, for any given gene, and view information about expression levels found in various tissues for that given gene,
so that I can easily determine whether my given gene is testis-specific or not, and if not, where else it is expressed.

As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes for any given gene, alongside a list of paralogs for that gene,
so that I can explore expression patterns for closely related genes.

As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes, and view these alongside a list of orthologs for that gene in other Drosophila species,
so that I can explore information about closely related genes in other Drosophila species.
Story 10
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes for any given gene, then obtain the sequence for that gene in FASTA format,
so that I can then build a primer(?) for my given gene.
Story 11

I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes for any given gene and view alongside these images a list of orthologs for my given gene in other non-Drosophila species,
so that I can explore hypotheses about gene function across species.

so that I can easily get back to images I found interesting.

so that I can start to explore genes which are expressed at certain stages, or view/compare expression patterns for different genes at the same stage. (see also Story 16)

I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in testes showing expression in a given developmental stage, with images then grouped by the gene which is being expressed,
so that I can find genes which are expressed at the same stage and compare their expression pattern. (follow up Story 14)

I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in the testes, showing expression in a given stage of development, and find the list of all genes which are expressed at that stage,
so that I can find genes which are expressed at the same development stage and compare their expression patterns (see also Story 14).

I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in the testes showing expression at a given development stage, then filter out images by selecting one or more genes of interest,
so that I can find genes which are expressed at the same development stages and study their expression pattern. (cf. Story 16)

I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in the testes, showing expression at a given development stage, and for all genes shown to be expressed in these images, find images of in situ expression in embryos,
so that I can focus on a development stage in testes, and explore how genes expressed at that stage are also expressed in embryos.

I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in the testes, showing expression at a given sperm development stage and for all genes shown to be expressed in those images, find images of in situ expression in embryos, and view both sets of images side-by-side grouped by genes.

I want to find images of in situ gene expression in embryos, for a given stage of embryogenesis,
so that I can find out which genes are expressed at my given stage of embryogenesis and study their expression patterns.
Story 21
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find images of in situ RNA hybridisation in embryos, for any given gene, (devoid of development stage),
so that I can find out when my given gene is expressed during embryogenesis and study the expression patterns.
Story 22
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to find known synonyms for a given gene,
so that I can search effectively of different web sites (e.g. FlyBase, FlyAtlas, ...) and don't miss any important information.
and also so that when web search took me to unexpected place, I might figure out why.

Story 23
As a Drosophila spermatogenesis researcher,
I want to for a given sperm development stage, find a list of all genes expressed at that stage, and for each of these genes, study which other stages that gene is expressed,
so that I can see whether genes expressed at my stage of interest are expressed at other stages.

I want to be able to search by any synonyms of a gene name,
so that I do not miss important results from FlyTED and BDGP, especially each uses a different name for the same gene.
