DBin
Enabling Semantic Web Communities
- http://dbin.org/ - DBin.
A bit of a variation on data lenses - "brainlets" embody specific rules for interaction with semantic data.
DBIN allows information to be shared between members of a community, like file sharing or news groups, except that shared information is merged so that information from multiple sources can be combined to yield facts not available from isolated sources.
Apparently, provenance informationis maintained so that merged information can be validated or re-evaluated in light of new information.
Uses peer-to-peer communication protocols.
Interesting system, but maybe a bit idiosyncratic for more general use?
