Gleaning Resource Descriptions from Dialects of Languages, or embedding semantic resources in arbitrary XML.
A W3C recommendation-track for adding information to XML resources, notably XHTML, to allow RDF information to be attached. The basic notion is to use a processing instruction that designates an XSLT stylesheet to extract information from the containing document as RDF. As such, it is a mechanism that can potentially be used with both microformats and RDFa, as well as annotating arbitrary XML.
