eBank Phase 3
eBank Phase 3: Transitioning to the eCrystals Federation

eBank is one of the related projects that is developing techniques for publishing research data as well as published results, so that others may access the raw data foir valifdation purposes or as a basis for completely new work. The eBank Phase 3 project will progress the establishment of a global Federation of data repositories for crystallography by performing a scoping study into the feasibility of constructing a network of data repositories: the eCrystals Federation.
This work has considerable potential to inform (or be be informed by?) our Defining Image Access work.
Some earlier(?) eBank references:
- http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/projects/ebank-uk/ - "eBank" gets repeated mentions - link to chemical crystallography?
- http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/projects/ebank-uk/pilot/ - Chemical crystalography; links to lab data. (Also http://ecrystals.chem.soton.ac.uk/ ? - web site down at time of attempted access)
- http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/projects/ebank-uk/schemas/feasibility.html - eBank UK Feasibility Report on dataset Description and Schema to access the results of experiments in crystallography

There is a related but different project involving Cambridge and Imperial college, which deals more generally with chemical compounda and CML data -- project is called SPECTRA (I think)
