The JISC Image Digitisation Initiative (JIDI) created archive quality digital images from a number of Higher Education image collections throughout the UK. The selection criteria included scholarly importance and copyright status.

The JIDI Collections have been grouped into subject areas and include:

• Art and Design
• Geology
• Social History
• Special Collections including the Design Council Archives and the Gertrude Bell Archive.
