Sprint review notes
Somewhat slow getting up to speed because of overhang from previous projects, and time off.
Wiki and blog are in place. I'll hold off creating discussion list and version management until they are needed: then I'll have a better idea of requirements.
One interesting thing came out of the meeting with John Pybus: the Neurocommons project has some file sharing requirements similar to ADMIRAL - John said he'd try and bring us together for a brainstorming session early in 2010.
Retrospective
Many distractions from other projects - ADMIRAL effort applied has been somewhat diffuse.
Recruitment achieved: position offered and accepted.
Initial project wiki, blog and project management framework in place. Creating task effort summary is awkward - look for a way to improve this.
Some progress made on LSDS survey, but not completed as planned. The number of options to be surveyed seems fewer than at first anticipated; a file sharing system based mainly on standard Linux tools seems to be the most promising option (cf. ADMIRAL_LSDS_requirements_and_survey).
Data audits: questionnaire, presentation and introduction to project have been prepared. Invitations issued to the four test user groups for initial meetings; have heard back with dates from two of these.
