Meeting to discuss additional data usage survey returns from Behaviour group.

Goals:

• Review survey returns and see if any changes in direction are indicated

Discussion

Survey returns are broadly in line with previous returns. One of the researchers (RG) is using DropBox.

Some interest in automatic versioning and visualization was noted, but the primary requirements remains access-controlled file sharing and automatic backup of data.

Outcomes

Current development priorities continue to be:

• provision of group-level shared filestores
• access control to shared filestore
• automated backup of shared filestore to HFS
• metadata and annotation capture for keyword-based retrieval

If time permits, there may be some value in looking into implementing some automatic versioning of data, and adding visualization capabilities to the annotation elements of the workflow, but these are of secondary importance.

We should prioritize one-to-one meetings with RG and JA.
