Have outside money to help with data management.

AK: Group members never have time to devote to data management, although enthusiastic with concept.

AK: Embargo date: a set time after publication of paper

BBSRC Starling grant - said will make moves to long-term preservation ... but no time

CR: Current Biology has editorial on new standards for supplementary data publication.

RG: 0.5 terabytes of video data per field season with two cameras. Would double if she got two more cameras. Presently using iMovie for analysis of videos - its creation of thumbnails every 5 seconds makes this very slow initially, when loading video and creating thumbnails, and thereafter very convenient for finding right place in video to make notes. However, lacks any annotation support. (Consider video processing in background? Maybe future link to Grid resources?)

GK: Would CR publish short video clips to illustrate findings, while keeping whole video private? CR: Yes, clips published as supplementary material with paper.
